Hello people!

I've recently bought new headset which uses USB as a power source. And ofcourse, I have static noise problems.. I've tried plugging it into all of my USB 2.0 and 3.0 plugs, different results but there's always some pretty noticable noise. I also tried plugging it into my TV's USB and my phone charger but that didn't work either (just a little bit different type of noise). And I'm 100% sure that it is because of the USB.. so I'd like to know if any of you guys have had the same problem and how did you fix it ? Or maybe suggest me some kind of pre-build USB filter, or maybe a phone charger (max 2A, 5V) that has a build in filter.. idk. I google'd my ass off with no proper solution.

Thanks in advance!             -kind regards-   Gomo

Do you have a sound card? If you do, then hooking your headphones up to your keyboard won't allow you to utilize it. Also, with all the data that flows through the USB the keyboard is hooked up to, using it for sound to your headphones may allow some interference to leak into the sound channels. And last but not least, they are noise cancelling headphones. Setting the input switch to high may turn up the noise cancelling abilities. That means in a quiet room, the noise cancelling may actually emit sound; responding to the lack of noise to cancel (i think that makes sense?) Try tuning the sound properties from your computer. Set speaker setup to headphones, and play with the sound mixer. Try not to allow any setting to "max out", keep the levels as close to equal as possible. This should also clear up some static.

Noise is there because of the unfiltered USB power. Headset only uses USB for power and 3.5 mm jacks for sound & mic.

Oh okay. Sorry. I'm not sure then

This same thing happened 2 times with my my friends Siberia Frost Blue edition.

He took the headsets to local electronics shop, which handles the warranty.

Finally they said in the shop that it would take about 3 weeks to get a new pair of Frost Blue.

After that my friend decided to get a Siberia V2 from the shop (warranty treated it + discount coupon).

So I am not saying that you should buy Siberia V2, but it would be a worth of try to give them to the warranty?(unless you bought them from a distant country)
