for 3 1080p you'll be fine, i think with 3 1440p you'll be around 40 fps and you're gonna turn off AA and other settings to med or low, depends really on the game. (racing games will be fine)

What's causing the worse framerates? The limited amount of Vram or the 'horsepower'

2 780s are usually enough even for 4k 60hz, so you should be more than fine. going for triple 1440p is a different thing entirely I'm afraid, as it's more than the pixel count of a 4k monitor by about 3million pixels. You would have to lower the settings, and the vram *might* be a bottleneck. To be absolutely sure the vram won't be an issue you could go for r9 290 crossfire, it's faster at higher resolution and can count of 4gb of vram. You still wouldn't be able to max it out at 60hz though, you would need to go triple crossfire for that and we know how many issues THAT has.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

vram is one of the problem... you could resolve the issue partially by using a 6gb version but would cost you a lot more... i'd go with a 780ti for the 1080p setup than buy another one when you upgrade your monitors... it might be a crazy idea but i think it'll work

Yeah the thing is I already have a 780, if I could go back I'd buy the 6GB version (that one exists, right?)

It does, but it doesn't make sense imo. It's more expensive and at that point you could buy a 290x instead, there is no scenario I know of that uses more than 4gb of vram and still doesn't need a gpu that is 4 times as powerful as anything we have now. If you already own a 780, don't worry about it, just get a second one and you'll be happy ^^ a 290 would be better if you had to buy both new, but selling the 780 for the sake of 3-4 extra fps makes no sense.

don't do that, the performance gain is very small. It would be worth it for another 50 bucks, not 200.

two titan will maxed out any aaa game in surround 1440p but only for 30/40 fps... so i thought the vram was the problem... i also agree on buying another 780 since are cheaper now... on 7680x1440 you'll be turning down some settings though

I think it's the power that a titan lacks, a 780ti performs better than a titan on 1080p/1440p

yeah because it is a full unlocked chip, i picked the titan as a comparison with the 780 because are roughly the same
