My build,need help

CPU: Intel i7 4790k
GPU: Sapphire R9 290 4GB TRI-X OC 
MOBO: MSI Z97 GAMING 5

Case: NZXT PHANTOM-BK
PSU: SeaSonic X Series X-850

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB)

SSD: Samsung SSD 840 EVO 250GB
HDD: WD Green 3TB
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D14
Monitor: LG 27EA33V-B

Location: US,but will move to Japan soon.
Aim: Mostly Gaming,A little Video editing and Graphics Design.

Budget: If possible,i'd like changes for a $2500 Build(Mouse,Monitor and Keyboard included)

 

I don't really know if this is a good build,So any changes,recommendations/suggestion is very helpful.

Seems solid, switch the HDD to something like a Seagate baracuda or a WD Black. The greens are nice but I feel you lose some quality test info on it.

no issue with that i run two MSI boards my self and have never had an issue at all

Hi damieny, awesome looking PC specifications you have there. Therefore, I would like to give you my part of suggestion in terms of the HDD selection. For your current build which is made for gaming and performance, I suggest you to go for the Western Digital Black Hard Drive instead of the Western Digital Green Hard Drive. The solid reason for this particular recommendation is just that the WD Green is made for primary use and also as an secondary storage due to its power saving technology. Hence, the WD Black is created for gaming users and also to ensure maximum performance of the machine, which I believe is the most ideal choice for your current build as well.
