I have roughly 1000 to build a PC, and was wonder how well this PC would run games. the monitor is in the list, but i have a mouse and keyboard already. Is there anything you suggest changing?

you can just google them a 280 and a 8320 easily beats what you were thinking

8.1 is a genuine improvement over 7 in all aspects unless you really need aero.
