Best RAM. Period.

Jokes aside, pretty much any RAM is fine. Just don't do something stupid like use 4x512MB RAM or something.

Since prices are lowering, i would recommend something along the lines of 1866+ RAM, it is pretty much the same cost of 1600 and faster. I found G.Skill Sniper Series 8GB 2133Mhx 9cl for 79.99, which is cheaper than most 1600 and 1866 ram! And i think 1600 is getting out dateed about now.

The Mhz of ram really don't do much, the figures don't change much with bench marks either. It's the latency that you want, the lower the better.

I realize that but if it is the same price, why get the slower one *(even if it is slower but a little) when you can get the faster one for a better price or cheaper?

It's hard to find good latency, i could not find the rip jaws in 1866mhz with CL7 for example

IMHO anything 9cl and under is A-OK.... CL9 is fine, anything under is better but i stay away from ANYTHING over 9. I feel the difference between 9 and 7cl isnt worth dropping down to 1600Mhz

Hey guys, what is the best choice of memory for a haswell cpu? 8gb im looking for, I have found some G.Skill RipJaws DDR3-1600 CL7 for £52. Any good? What are your choices or opinions?

Memory Scaling on Haswell Here is a very detailed benchmark of different timings and speeds of RAM and how they impact performance with a Haswell processor.
