Linux Distros?

I'm looking for some Linux Distros to try out on my Compaq tc4400

Note its only got a Centrino Duo @1.8Ghz and 2GB of ram and is a tablet PC.

Ubuntu 14.04. Big icons, good for touch screens.

I'm already using Ubuntu 14.04LTS on it and its sluggish on it.

Have you tried Lubuntu or Xubuntu yet?

not yet I'm current;y running Kubuntu right now on the tablet PC and its nice but the UI is not what I'm looking for.

Like almost everyone here has been saying, Elementary or Xubuntu are two great aesthetically pleasing distros that run great on older hardware. My personal favorite is Xubuntu with the plank dock from Elementary OS!  :D

My favorite is Xubuntu with changed panels so it looks sorta like Windows. :D

Try all of them. I tried Xubuntu and Lubuntu and I'm about to install Elementary OS. Lubuntu was slower than Xubuntu for me, although my PC only has 1 GB of RAM, so take that into consideration.
