Do all of the available MX keyboard keycaps ( Example from Ducky or WASD keyboards ) fit on any keyboard with the cherry MX switches?

The reason I'm asking this is because I have CM Storm Quickfire Ultimate and was wondering if I can put for Ducky Keycaps on it or from any other vendor.

Thanks already!

i know you can buy universal keys with custom writes on it so i think it would work as long the switch is the same... you can even change swithces with a bit of soldering

no. there are all kinds of different caps. most letters should fit most keyboards, but all the function and ctrl and spaces shouldn't.

But for the basic keys ( all letters, excluding shift, ctrl, space, etc )?

basic keys should be fine.

'Gaming keyboards' seem to make the Windows key smaller than regular keyboards (and only have it at the left side of the keyboard, don't usually have a second one) and to compensate for this they need to make the control and alt keys longer. They might leave the spacebar as is, but they may also play with it, again to compensate for the length changes in other keys.

Some vendors (like Max Keyboard) try to make their keycap sets as universal as possible and include different sized control, alt, windows, Fn, spacebars and enter keycaps. As far as I know Ducky makes their keycaps sets to fit Ducky layouts specifically (control, alt and windows all have the same length).
