I'm thinking of painting my Corsair Graphite 230T case (grey with blue led fans) a glossy white both inside and out except for the plastic on the front.  I may also paint gpu, the last piece of metal on my heatsink, the psu, and whatever else comes to mind.  Do you think it'll look good (I have a white, kind of shiny desk).  If so how should I do this (what paint to use, glossy/matte, and priming/sanding tips)post-78342-0-45687300-1403802496_thumb.j

I think it would look great!  I had hoped that Corsair would make a white 900d but every one I have seen is a custom paint job.  How about adding a bit of pearl into the mix?  Pearl white is one of my favorite colors.  Looking forward to your finished pics.

Yeah and not too many people using the 230T, and there's only one well modded one I could find: http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=128465. I was thinking about some pearl when watching a video with someone painting some case, but do I need an airbrush for that or are there other ways such as layering with spray paint? Also any tips?

That would look pretty darn good IMO.

Thanks! I'll post pictures anywhere from a couple days to a week from now (probably)

It would look great just take your time with masking and prep work. use a fine grain sand paper 100-150 since I'm assuming the case is aluminum you don't wanna scratch it too badly. then use self etching primer I would do two or three coats of primer then let the primer dry before sanding again then another two or three coats of base depending on how thick your coats are and  how thick you want the paint

Okay.  For some reason my paint refuses to go on evenly so my side panels look awkwardly two toned.  So I'm scrapping the glossy white idea for possibly a splash with two plus different colors, because I figured a new coat of paint will cover up the two tone-ness and any mistakes you can see through will just blend in with the splash... I'm not sure yet but if you have any suggestions I'm open to them!

@Booyah1555

pictures are worth a thousand words.

if you are getting bleed through/two tone you are spraying to far away from the object.

8"-12" from object and use even strokes. the "tiger stripes" would be from no overlapping

the strokes. the main feed of color is coming from the center and the fan edges are light

and semi dry before anchoring to the object.

I did watch multiple videos and I did do it as you described.  I think my primer was just crap.  it would foam up a little and then level out.
