Said no one ever.

 

But why though? Why does it suck so bad? I mean I have not had problems with it at all, works find, does the job, so why do you complain about it? Discuss below please.

because i like steam better... i dont want 5 different game launchers when steam should be the only one...

It has to update every time, it has to update the game every time, it's UI is the worst out of all 3. Also it can't even manage the f*cking updating, player A has game version A and uPlay says it's up to date, player B has ver. B and uPlay also says it's up to date. The 2 players then can't play together and if they want to, they have to of course fix it themselves.

For one thing if you can buy the game through steam I think it should be fully launchable from steam without needing to open another launcher that does nothing more for me. If you buy the boxed copy it's kind of fine, but a lot of people have had issues connecting to uplay servers resultiong in their game being inaccessible for days (w_d for example). I'm not sure if it has an offline mode, if it doesn't that's a problem. To be honest I don't think it's THAT terrible, but it has no reason to exist, pretty much like origin (at least they make on the house offers. hopefully they release more aaa and not just the first two to pull in costumers...).

It hated when I switched Far Cry 3 over to my SSD after previously running it on my HDD

It hated when I tried to even play blacklist.

It wouldn't start Anno.

It wouldn't start blood dragon.

It also wouldn't patch my far cry or my friends far cry so neither of us could play MP or Coop together.

So yeah fuck Uplay even origin isn't that bad..

 

Eventually I got 3 of the above fixed.

Blood dragon I just got a crack for I've bought it again on steam and it seems to be working now even though it still goes through Uplay so I don't even know wtf is wrong with the crappy thing.

I see, but I find Origin better then steam though, because for some reason my steam does not want to effing launch sometimes but Origin I have not encountered it, Uplay too.

It's a shame how GoG is better than Steam, Origin and uPlay yet is probably the least popular.
