I'm about to get a cheap set of 16gb RAM (2x8gb), I already have 2x4gb in my mobo (mobo has 4 slots). What is the criteria for two different sets of RAM to work together?

I believe they just have to have the same CAS Latency, if one set is faster, it will be downclocked to the same speed at the slowest one

ooooo sweet. Had a bad feeling there would have to be a lot more involved
