Double Din Deck help?

Hey all,
I know its probably not the best place to post this question but i thought hey i like pcs, cars and audio. Im sure lots of people do. So best car deck for audio. Im looking for a 6.1 inch double din touch screen deck with the best audio quality. I currently have a sony deck that came in my car that i really really really really hate. REALLLLLYYY hate, it sounds awful. its eq is awful. its almost as bad as the stock bose one that came in the rsx. Either way im looking for suggestions price under 1000.

Theres a guy on here i cant remember his name but he did a great job putting a nexus 7 in his car.

lol i don't normally associate apple product with audio quality, the fact that every apple device will peak any speaker if set to max volume shows how much they care about optimizing there audio. But i do appreciate the humor and mighty car mods style :P

im more leaning towards an alpine or pioneer deck but have no idea whats best for sounds quality. 

If u get an ipad done professionally they fix the peaking with some machine sound man does it in his videos all the time but if u want a traditional head unit i have no idea what is the best u cant go into the shop and ask the people that work there?

i never trust sales people... i always feel they dont know what they are talking about and just say a bunch of stuff to sell what they will make the most money off.
