Upon visiting the front page of Steam this morning, I found that Arma 3 was part of the "daily deals" sale. For $29.99.

Immediately I was frustrated. I had this coming. 2 days before I purchased it for $49.99 along with a DLC pack, too. Lord Gaben has pulled me into his monetary "trap".

Morale of the story: DON'T BUY UNTIL IT'S DAILY. Even if you've wanted the game for months.

Don't buy until it's flash for some games. Castle Crashers was $3.74 or so along with BattleBlock Theater and then BOOM! Castle Crashers was $1.24 and BattleBlock was 2.40-something. As a bundle, they're a little over 3 bucks. I bought the bundle for a little over 6 yesterday. DAMN YOU, STEAM!

Oh well, this applies to pretty much anything that can be on sale. I regret getting a Honda Civic over a Mazda Miata and other cars.

I did something similiar, I own Skyrim but I was keen for the DLC in the legendary edition cuz cheap cheap

Debated for like an hour with mates before putting 25 dollars on my account. Went to go buy it & it wouldnt let me saying I already owned it. Before I got ultra mad I went to my library and checked Skyrim

I already brought Legendary Edition at Christmas for 8 dollars

I never buy a game at full price;

I never buy a game at release date, even if i have to wait months for the price to drop significantly;

Those are my rules !

For example, i bought Far Cry 3 a few days ago on steam summer sale for around 3 or 4 € - If i had bought it on the release date i would have payed around 60 or 70 €

I don't mind waiting months or years for a game !

Buy game on launch = big price, launch issues, early game version,

Buy game late on Steam = small price, fully patched game and probably all the DLC included.
