Hey guys i bought a keyboard last November/black friday after my mechanical keyboard stopped working. I replaced by a Razer Deadstalker that i got from newegg for $20 on special it is worth this price if if it's not mechanical. But i have a huge complain about it, even your fingers are clean (you just washed them), the keyboard begin to look at it have some grease on it. i have tried cleaning the keys with a wet towel slowly but that doesn't take care of the problem. Does anyone know something i can do to fix this problem ?

I talked a friend into buying a used mechanical keyboard once and the first thing we did when it arrived was clean it. You can add a little soap to warm water and soak the keycaps in it. Then scrub them a little, and leave them to dry. That helped.

A more permanent solution is buying PBT keycaps. It's a more durable kind of plastic that doesn't let light shine through it (so not great for backlit keyboards if you want to see the letters) but has a nicer slightly more rough texture and doesn't get shiny as fast.
