Hot swap HDD

Can i move my 700gb hdd with fsx, and other applications to my desktop and have it work? Or will I have to reinstall fsx and use the program files? Or do I have to reinstall the ton of addons I have?

Reinstall will be required.

Could i copy and paste the addon files and (it will ask me to activate the licenses for addons) and install vanilla fsx?

I hope this makes sense. I have about 70gb of fsx data.

You will need to install the add-on again after you install FSX. You cannot just copy and paste them.

It may work it may not ive done this for just  a hot swap a few times.it may unstable.if you realy want that ecaxt os/file/programs move i recommend clonezilla if the os becomes unstable yell still have the original hard drive with all the files.

I  have GameServer`s And VOIP servers the only price is that you have fun on them.

Just need flight simulator. This is what I hate about building a new PC

Do you have Windows on the same HDD as FSX? If both of them are there ~ you will face minimal problems.

Will your new PC have a fresh installation of Windows? Can you bring both your Windows and FSX HDD to your new PC?

Will I have to use those hdd'a permanently or just for transfering?
