Hi guys.

I need some advice on selecting a new motherboard. I want to get a new one so I can then purchase another 760 and run in Dual SLI, my current motherboard doesn't support SLI. I was looking at these but the MPower and the Sabertooth are both expensive and I feel that they may not be worth the money.

Can you find this board? I feel like this is a best price and performance. The sabertooth is nice but I think its more for bling then anything else and the Mpower is really only good for OCing.

TBH I think that if you sold your 760 and got a 780 would be better cause not all games scale well with 2 cards

Found it, but it's $325

A bit too expensive. Realistically I wouldn't have bought the MPower or the Sabertooth. Much too expensive.

I kinda needed someone to tell me that it isnt worth it or I would have gotten them just for the looks.

I'd probably spend around $250 max.

In Australia 760s are about $310 - $325 and 780s are about $600 so I wouldn't have the money for it.

$310 for another 760 + $200 for motherboard = $510 - only AU$30 less than an inexpensive 780 and AU$11 more than an XFX 290X (from pccasegear).

I did a wattage calculation, if I use a 780 my minimum psu wattage is 487 W and my recommended is 537 watts, I have an RM650. Would I be able to keep my psu?

*My i5 4670k is overclocked to 4.2 GHz btw, if that makes much of a difference*

You should be fine, even with the overclock.
