Hi,

I bought this headset few months ago and from the beginning the left ear has played annoying low background noise. You can't hear it over music or game sounds, but it's there when it's silent. I have Asus Sabertooth X79 mb and I am using the on-board sound card: Realtek® ALC892 8-Channel High Definition Audio CODEC

I tried to plug the headphone controller via S/PDIF and USB both and tried to listen to the headphones using both usb and spdif for audio input. Can someone also explain what would be the best possible setup? http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41+kDI22CqL.jpg (image of the headphone controller). Correct me if I am mistaken, but I currently use S/PDIF optical for audio and still need the USB for microphone.

Any ideas how to fix this or if I'm doing something wrong? Dunno if there's some interference with the wireless signal or something. I am very novice when it comes to audio stuff so any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks.
