To partition or not?

Go to solution Solved by Createinator,

what would you recommend for partition sizes? Should my primary partition have space for game installs and things of the like?

60-100GB is more than enough for Windows and a few productivity software. I keep my games on a separate partition.

So, 60-100 GB for Windows Partition ~ and as per need for the rest.

You should partition it ~ keeping Windows partition separated from your data partition is a boon in selective backup, windows repair and comes handy in case of malware outbreak.

It really is unnecessary to partition for windows but as has been said windows will use no more than 20GB(due to updates and bulky rubbish) and it depends on where you want to put programs and games.

I store my less used games on a separate large HDD and more used games on main disk but not in a different partition as you system will never be destroyed by malware etc. if you are careful and use basic anti-virus software.
