I have to get a new kit of RAM because one of my sticks had been dead on arrival and was causing a metric ton of issues, and G. Skill wouldn't let me return it. I'm in the market for new memory, but I don't want to go back to G. Skill, and I want to keep my 8gb DIMM that I still have. If I go with different brands, say, Corsair, would I run into any issues? I've heard about compatibility issues when people mix and match RAM, so I want to be sure.

CONFIG: i7 4770k (h80i, 4.3ghz), Gigabyte z87x-UD4H, 2x AMD R9 280x (GIGABYTE Windforce), Samsung 840 EVO 250gb, Segate 2tn, RM850 PSU

INPUT DEVICES: Rosewill IK-90001, Logitech G602,. ASUS VS248, ASUS PB238

Corsair Vengeance LP 1600Mhz 1.5v CL9

I've been running it for over a year with zero problems and it's good value.

BTW them not letting you return faulty memory is bullshit.

So there won't be any issues when I pair it with that extra G. Skill DIMM?

And you don't know the half of it. They didn't let me return it ONLY because I threw away the graphic paper in the plastic shell. I still had the original packaging.

Don't run it with the Gskill, replace the Gskill with it, if the timings/voltage/speed are identical on both it could work OK but it's always best to run identical DIMMs.

Also that pettyness about packaging is ridiculous IMO.

It was, I was so pissed off. And it's not like it caused a crash every other day, it crashed almost every other HOUR. I've never seen such a defective DIMM in my life. Because of their crap service, I refuse to give them any more money.

Put the ramaining DIMM on ebay, replace both DIMMS with new ones, I've used Corsair stuff for a long time and I've RMAd a few things also, I've never had any such BS about a piece of packaging.

Wasn't even nice paper, or nicely printed. It was a mess.
