Question about Amazon Fire Phone

Hey guys,

 

So I saw that Amazon announced that Fire Phone. I coincidentally am out of contract in about a month and am looking to upgrade from my last one (HTC Vivid, sort of low-end smartphone but it had 4G so I went with it). The new phone looks promising, but I was having some issues with their description. Does it use the regular Play Store app like on my phone or tablet, or only special apps that Amazon approved? If it's the latter, looks like it's definitely S5 for me.

I'm not sure about the google play. But the Galaxy S5 is far and away the better phone in every category and is the same price with contract, why not pick that one!

i3-4170, H81 board, 8GB DDR3, Crucial M4, GTX 770, Xigmatek Vangaurd Case, Creative Titanium X-fi, Razer Carcharias, 500w PSU, 24" VA panel and a 42" IPS. Thinking about getting a plant.

Im an apple iPhone user all the way but if i had the choice of getting the amazon phone free or buying a galaxy (rule out iPhone for this example) i would pay double for the galaxy to make sure i got it instead...The amazon phone is just a big money vacuum.
