Hey i'm not a programmer but i need a inventory program database is there any easy way to make one or a free program i'm fiddling with access  (I am going to major in computer engineering I am generally knowledgeable about hardware)

Do you need an inventory program, or do you need to create one based on a database?

Also, what sort of inventory do you need to track?

Creating one from scratch would probably be quite a massive undertaking. I've recently

stumbled upon partkeepr, which is an inventory tool for electronics/mechanics components

(website).

Other than that, pretty much everything I know of is commercial, which I'm assuming isn't

really what you're after.

No I work in the IT dep ofmy school over the summer but I am also the hardware expert my friend takes care of programming but a club that I am in that does all the audio and lighting for school events whants to keep track of the bulbs and lights since it is 23 bucks a bulb it isn't good to lose them. I whipped something up in access it works okay i'm kinda happy with my self.

THanks my school (private high school) has plenty of cash but they are kinda stingy so if this works then they won't care but if it doesn't they'll buy something. This is what i've done so far
