Can anyone tell me the reasons why my laptop keeps ejecting my 2nd internal hard drive ? I've had like 20 blue screens in the past week so I had to move my pagefile back to my main drive with my os and that stopped the blue screens, but the drive still ejects and causes all my games i'm running from there to crash. Usually ejects when I'm playing games or listening to music and I have to shut down my laptop and turn it back on to be able to access the files on the drive  and sometimes i have to do that multiple times so the drive shows up.

Any solutions ?

I have an Asus K52JT.

I think its because of all the bumping you do  :D

Ok, serious now. So where is this second drive connected to on the laptop? If its a setup where you removed the CD/DVD drive the laptop may think the drive is still a CD/DVD drive and shut it down when idle? Or you have the settings to shut the drive down when idle and it dumps it then but if you had swap I think that shouldn't happen or hope so.

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.

This is NOT the signature you are looking for.

I have the hard drive in the drive bay inside the laptop and the other drive is in a caddy but that's fine. It's never idle because that's where I run my games and music from and I'm constantly listening to music even if I'm not gaming. I doubled checked to make sure that in the power settings that the drive never goes idle when it's plugged in (I rarely used my battery.) It usually ejects when I'm gaming, sometimes it would eject when I'm listening to music also.

I had a similar problem with an external HDD that would randomly turn on and off when watching movies on it.  I contacted the manufacture and they want me to send it back to them for a replacement.  I'd say its possible your having a similar issue.

At this point the computer should be ejecting you.

My friend who does hdd repair said nothing is wrong with the drive per say, I still have to change it because the build of heat could kill it since it's at its threshold
