Gaming headsets tend to be the worst bang per buck solutions available. You're better off getting separate headphones and mic. If you're interested in getting an integrated headphone/mic I'd probably suggest the Audio Technica ATH-AG1 as they're near the same price and come from a company that work primarily in audio. Also they're one of the best rated headphone/mic combos available at the moment.

If you're interested in getting separate items, you can get the Modmic 4.0 and a nice pair of headphones. Let us know what you're primarily going to use the headphones for (gaming, movies, music genres) and your price range and we'll try and suggest what could work.

Well, the mic doesn't really matter to me as I don't really use mics, maybe sometimes, I mostly just wanted a cool looking wireless headset with nice features which I've seen this one have, I just want to see if there is anyone that has had any experience with this headset and if they could recommend it, or if it just totally sucked, in that case I would change my mind :P

Look elsewhere. Turtle Beach is trash and wireless adds significant cost. It is better to just get wired headphones. Look into Beyerdynamic DT990 or AKG K612.

I'd like the headset for gaming, and I have a wired Razer Headset at the moment, which is good, but I hate wires attached to me, I want to be moving around my house and still being able to hear audio from my computer. The features I like from the Turtle Beach Z300 is that you can take off the mic, it has a really nice design, and it has Bluetooth features where you can connect the headset to your phone and stream music from there while gaming, I've probably looked into all the wireless headsets out there, and this was the only one that had everything I wanted. But of course there can always be downsides to a headset without me knowing which is the point I made this topic just to know if anyone has had any problem with this headset and see if it's worth me getting it. The price range would be around $100 to $200, don't want anything cheaper than $100 because I like fancy stuff :P

Thanks.

While I've never had experience with that particular headset, I have had experience with Turtle Beach. I don't get the hate on them, they sound great for gaming and music listening.

You'll change your mind once you've experienced actual headphones.

OP If you must have those features then buy it but you're probably paying $100 extra for those features. The sound is nothing special and can probably be beat by $40 Superlux headphones.

Have you had any experience with Turtle Beach headphones?

Regardless, the headset isn't all that bad. I'm satisfied with mine, even though I know there are better ones out there.

I briefly listened to my roommate's wireless turtle beachs. Don't know the exact model of them. Nothing special at all. They were pretty bad actually.

Hmmm... it looks like you've got some competing features you want (price range, wireless, audio quality, mic) Price automatically goes up with wireless and integrated mic, and audio quality goes up (to a point) the more you pay. Unfortunately even $200 is not enough for a worthwhile wireless headset. The Z300's RRP is ~$270 already, which is where you start seeing more decent choices.

If you're not willing to compromise of price at least, it's near impossible to find something with good audio quality at $200. For wireless headsets I might suggest, at a similar price to the Z300:

Harmon Kardon BT: http://www.amazon.com/Harman-Kardon-BT-Headphones-Technology/dp/B00A3R3U2U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1402881735&sr=8-1&keywords=Harman+Kardon+BT

Bose AE2w Bluetooth: http://www.amazon.com/Bose-AE2w-Bluetooth-Headphones-Black/dp/B00CD1FB26/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1402881893&sr=8-1&keywords=Bose+AE2w+Bluetooth

I must say though, that nothing will beat a wired headphone on price and performance. So if you were willing to give that up, then we could offer you something with better value.

Only reason I want a new headset is to get a wireless one. I've watched reviews and people say the audio is fine on the Z300, so that's not what I'm worried about

Well you've got a few more choices to think about now  :) Though it does sound like you're set on the Z300s. To be honest, the best headphones are the ones you're happiest with, or the Sennheiser Orpheus http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2013/01/sennheiser-orpheus-he90-what-16000-headphones-sound-like/  :D
