Xbone controller with usb cord works... or wired 360 controller (wireless requires dongle or adapter of some port)... http://www.razerzone.com/store/razer-sabertooth works like a wired 360 controller... or Controller chaos makes custom 360 controllers and and wireless adapter...  or Ps3/4 controller with a wire and an emulator works...  or could get a Nvidia shield but that'd be expensive for just a controller but it'd be a controller and a tablet in one...

Wait, you're saying that the Shield can work as a controller? Not just Gamestreaming? If this is the case, I'd be on that like chocolate infused vodka.

Yes I believe so, but you probably gotta Jury Rig a solution with some 3rd party software

Probably but with an AMD based pc I would just get a 360 controller xD there's programs like Xpadder and stuff that emulate Keyboards or 360 controllers using just about any input device. The shield as a controller would be more like if you already had a shield and wanted a controller not too buy inplace of a controller >.>

Well, the idea would be that, with an AMD PC, the Shield would be obtained as an extra mobile device/handheld and would only sub for a controller when the need arises.
