Keyboard/game problem

I've encountered an interesting problem: part of the games I own don't start up when prompted, wether they are run from steam or independently.

I don't get any errors from most of them, apart from Rogue Legacy, The Binding of Isaac and Planetside 2. They are the following:

 

The Binding of Isaac:

• After ~5 seconds the game stops responding to any keyboard inputs.

Rogue Legacy:

• When started, the game returns an error that indicates it can't find the keyboard.

 

The following error has occured: An invalid operation occured when tried to query the keyboard state

 

Planetside 2:

• The infamous error 99. The End.

 

Hardware: K90 Corsair using drivers from Windows update. Reinstalling the drivers manually did not help.

 

The keyboard works fine. I switch to Mozilla or Notepad++ and the typing works no problem. Windows shortcuts work normally.

Faulty usb port? try using a different port? or use a front usb port

There you go, post updated. It doesn't seem to be the keyboard, because it works fine in the browsers, notepad applications and some of the other games.

 

Oh yeah, and I also tried an old, Dell server keyboard: The same problem in the same programs.

^ that was on an USB controller using a 3rd party chip on the motherboard, as opposed to Intel.
