Only 3G Speeds on Nexus 5

Guest Arshi

So I just got my Nexus 5 US today.

I went to Cricket wireless to get the smart $50 plan.  https://www.cricketwireless.com/shop/byod.html

I enter my imei.

It says it only supports 3G.

Does anyone know why this is so? And truth or fix?

Check the coverage in your area, they probably don't offer 4G where you live. I live in Las Vegas, a major city, and I have Sprint, a much bigger career than Cricket, yet there is no 4G coverage for Sprint in Las Vegas. Doesn't matter that the phone support 4G if there is no coverage for it.

Also find out what bands your carrier uses, if they use abnormal channels/bands it might not be supported by the device
