How much impact on performance would running the CPU bus ring at say 200 or 300 mhz slower than main cpu core clock would have on final results? can't find good reliable datas about this on google...anyone know?

my guess is that it wouldnt change much but i would like to be sure of that...

lmao I don't think anyone here knows what a ring buss is :P

Me: Yeah I just really can't get my H220 working again, I've tried everything that was suggested in the forum.

Brian (Swiftech Support): Hmm, have you tried slapping it?

i know for a fact that many users on this forum are advanced haswell overclockers and they will provide me with an answer...so far the ring bus speed is what preventing me from reaching higher CPU clocks so i'm asking wheter or not it'S worth messing with is or just let it lag a couple hundred mhz behind cpu core clock speed...

thanks man, that's what i wanted to hear...that's what i thought...what is funny is that i did quickly read through that guide earlier today and didnt even noticed the ring bus testings they've done...so 4200MHZ ring bus with like a 4.5 or 4.6GHZ overclock is fine if stable? i won't loose much :)

Yep. i was able to get 4.7 when I lowered my ring bus back to 3500. Core is king still.
