Where do I go from here?

Right now I've got a 1 terabyte WD Green as my main drive and have lived through enough to be ready to upgrade however I'm unsure what to do?

I've thought of 2 options so far, one of which being getting an SSD alongside the WD Green. If I were to go through with this, I'm not exactly sure how to upgrade to an SSD and if anyone's got a solid video or website with how to go through with it I'd appreciate it.

 

The other would be getting another 1 terabyte drive (A quicker one) and running the 2 in Raid 1 for the reliability. However I'm not sure if I exactly understand Raid 1. Of course this leads with the question of how would I go through with it since I'm uninformed on the matter as of now.

 

Anyway, any help is appreciated since I'm not really sure what is better for me to do.

Get an SSD and keep the old drive. It's fairly simple to install an SSD. Plug in the SATA cable and install preffered OS on the drive.

I'd recommend getting a SSD. 

 

> Plug sata power and data cable in

> reinstall OS

> choose SSD

> format the WD Green (i do this so its a fresh install)

SSD, definitely and put your OS on it as described above. It will improve your system way more than 2 WD greens in raid config.
