Gpu buzzing noise

Hi,

 

Recently i noticed that my pc made a buzzing noise. It istn high but its more like a buzzing electrical noise . 

 

When im in my desktop i dont hear it but when i startup guildwars 2 for example i start hearing it a bit ( when i character selection screen) but when i enter the world its silent during loadscreen and more noisy ingame. Im not really sure if its my gpu or my psu but when i took of the sidepanel i thought it was my gpu. I recently got a new motherboard but before that it didnt make any noise.

 

Can you help me?

 

I have a corsair CX600M psu

a msi gaming gtx660/ OC

and a msi z77a-g43 motherboard.

 

Edit: When i alt+tab out of a game the noise is gone but when i tab back in its back.

Sounds like coil whine, not much you can do about it.

Yeah, unfortunately, it can start at any time. Does it get louder the more load you put on the card? If so, more than likely coil whine

coil whine just like my mom's whining but more annoying good luck my friend

I does get louder if i get in the world in a mmo. In char select screen its less. So yea more load is more noise. Well that sucks then i suppose. gotta live with it then

If its really bothersome get a glue gun and put glue over the coils

or nail polish them

that should reduce coil whine

If you had a powercolor PCS+ they would put glue on there for you when you got the card

I just noticed it changes when i look on the ground or look at the horizon ( straigtforward) in gw2( mmo). I have vsync on. Before it never created any noise, with the same load.

Coil whine usually happens when the amount of load changes very quickly
