Hey everyone!

So recently I have been looking into a new set of headphones. I would prefer if they don't have a mic, as I would rather have one sitting on my desk anyway for rare occasions when I talk on Skype or whatever. I plan on gaming, and listening to bass intensive music, such as dubstep, glitch hop etc. Pretty much any sub-genre of Electronic. My budget is $200 Aus, so I guess thats $150 or less American. Also, I would like wireless ones, as I hate having a cord attached to my headset.

Thank you to anyone that helps!

Didn't think so.

With the M50X's, would M50S's be better? As I don't need the detachable cable, and the S comes with a straight cable

Yeah nah I wouldn't trust them either.

Audio technica ATH-M50x or Beyerdynamic Custom One Pros if you want changeable amounts of bass.

The Custom Pros are 300 bucks here >.>

sometime on amazon they for lower, if you can't get them for your price point then go with the ATH-M50x, they are amazing.

Delivery to Aus using Amazon is a bit crazy, so I'd prefer to stick with Australian Stores.

I have heard a lot of good things about them, but are they actually better than the M50's, apart from the detachable/non spiral cord?

The new version of the M50's (the M50x) has a detachable cord and both are solid cans it's just what preferences you have when it comes to how much bass you want with each song. Also the Custom One Pros can be customized to fit what ever style you want.

The Harman Kardon Bluetooth (can go wired as well) is $200 at amazon (just as reference), and sounds quite good. But keep in mind, these are bluetooth, not so good for gaming, due to it's potential latency. If only used for chatting and/or music, should be good. Plus point is, you can use it with other bluetooth devices, like smartphones, etc.

Not really big on the aesthetics of them to be honest, and I know they'll be on my head but still eh

Shure 440 with 840 pads are cheaper and better than the overhyped M50s

Could you link me to a review or something?

Don't know of a review but some of the other regulars might chime in later. The price of those in the US is $100 as well so that speaks to something. They're not overpriced like headphones usually are in Aus.
