I see some monitors with this term ACM 100,000,000:1(1000:1) why do they use acm and not just the contrast ratio? is it different because on this 23 inch version of the monitor I have it has acm listed but on my 27 inch version its not? What does acm mean?

what im talking about(just go done to specifications then to contrast ratio)

ACM is Adaptive Contrast Management which is the virtual contrast ratio. The spec is irrelevant, bull, just used for marketing, and should be ignored.
