Hey everyone,

i got my friends laptop today he gave it to me so i could install a fresh system on it. Now after booting into the CD i deleted every partition and stuff and formatted everything so it is basically impossible that there is something left on the hard drive. But after the installation it boots me into a screen with a field to type in a username and a password eventhough i didnt set one. I tried it 3 times now. All i can say is that there are still wifi-drivers on it because it offers me to connect to the internet in the settings. I cant boot into the "real system". Hope my writing is understandable :D

OK I think I understand you, you what to do a fresh install of windows? on a laptop, then you need a copy of the OS either on CD or USB and what you what to do is go to the laptops Bios and set it so the laptop will look at for the CD or USB first before the HHD/SSD then reboot and with your CD/USB in the drive/plugged in a usb port and the install programe should start, follow the install instructions on screen and should be done over time.

You may get the option to format the HHD/SSD before installing the OS.

I presume you have a copy of Windows.  This is just a basic way of doing it but if you know what OS you got and what your going to install then you could get a better step by step way of doing it online

You did this wrong.

DBAN it, then start again and install Windows from the CD.
