Hello,

So I am living in Germany and want to get a new monitor.

If I would buy a monitor from the US, would i be able to use it in Germany?(Cuz 240V and so on)

Could I just use a standart power cord from Germany and plug it into the monitor? (Asus VG248QE)

Voltage rating is AC: 100~240V    Does that mean yes?

Thanks

Hello and welcome to the fourm. Yes you would be able to do that however you would need to pay a ton of taxes. Unless you are in America and bring the moniotr back home it's not an option. (You would pay more than you would in germany)

I'm pretty sure shipping from America to Germany will cost more than your "conservative" estimate of 11 Euros. I once considered shipping a laptop from America to the UK, but postage would have been £50+

Have you looked elsewhere to see if that monitor is cheaper within Germany?

Not only will the shipping be pretty risky and expensive, You will also need to pay import tax. Not sure about the rules in Germany but look into that.

I would suggest saving up and look at other sites within Europe. The prices between Amazon in Europe is different per country.
