I'm getting the z87 pro and the maximus vi hero for the same price which one should I go for?

Going for a gaming with 4670k

Also the black and red colour of hero is also bugging me. But I can work with it.

I will be using the 4670k for a while.

Z97 Also it's not available yet where I live

Z97 should be available everywhere very soon. It may be worth it to hang on for SATA Express and the new features Asus, MSI and Gigabyte are packing in.

 

For Z87:

- if the red doesn't work for your color scheme you can take a look at the Gigabyte G1.Sniper M5 (cheaper) for a green scheme or the Sabertooth (more expensive) for an awesome scheme

- of those two, I'd definitely go with the Hero.

I would go for the hero just because i can accept the red and black color better then the yellow diarrhea color of the z87 pro but the pro will perform just as good as the ROG.
