I saw the nifty little power menu program that was pinned to the taskbar in Linus's unboxing of a Gigabyte laptop, so I thought I'd give a shot at making a little applet that lets you do the same thing.

Here's what it looks like:

Download it here (from my Dropbox): http://goo.gl/d56gz

Windows 8 specific notes:

Shut down button = hybrid shut down

Shift + shut down button = full shut down

Shift + restart = boot options menu

Changelog:

v1.1

-Added some credits for myself (F1 for help)

-Positions itself better now (X coordinate depends on where your cursor is, no longer bottom right)

v1.2

-Fixed Windows 8 hybrid shut down

-Added tooltips

v1.3

-Shut down and restart commands no longer flash command windows

No I mean, have the program run at startup, and be on the notification are (next to the clock). SO that when someone wants to shutdown, they can click on it, and the menu will show.

Ah true. I'll work on a separate app for that, probably. It would look nice with the thinner borders too in Win8.1. :D
