small improvements over the current Haswell CPUs with suppose to have better thermals and power efficiency 

 

if you are only gaming then you might not need such a high end CPU unless you use your PC for video editing too.

I disagree about not needing but 8gb of ram, have you played any new open world games like watch dogs? I was only running 8gb and was filling up system ram so I bought another 4gb stick and everything runs great except my pc looks dumb with three sticks of ram in it now
