Hello there! Im trying to build my first PC. After some weeks I got to these parts and wanted to ask what you thought. I have some doubts like if the cooler is going to touch the RAM sticks, if the cooler was too close to the glass and if 2cm between the GPU and the glass was enough, even taking into account that this GPU's cable is facing the glass and I dont want it to tear or break
1. Budget & Location

Im from Argentina and this is like 2600USD here. I dont want to spend much more than this and most of the parts I see are not here or are worth a lot more than in USA

2. Aim

I want to be able to play most games in a decent way, with medium-high graphics. I mostly play games like Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order or minecraft heavily modded. Im not really into ultra graphics or masive amounts of fps, just to be able to play with my friends any game they propose without it being in 480p 24fps in my laptop.

3. Monitors

I plan on buying an asus tuf 27" QHD 180hz from amazon, that is 170usd and i have to pay like 120usd in taxes to bring

4. Peripherals

I plan on buying peripherals in a future, for now I will use the ones that are around my house, some basic keyboards and mice that i dont even know where they came from

5. Why are you upgrading?

First build :D

The Deepcool AG620 is 157mm in height so it will fit. It might seem snug but 3mm clearance is plenty 🙂

This is a great gaming machine without overspending!

That being said, I personally do like a bit beefier motherboards in terms of VRM cooling and features but the MSI PRO B850-S is okayish.

Keep in mind that AM5 will get more CPU launches in the coming years and you might want to upgrade to a beefier CPU at some point, not that a modern 8 core X3D CPU draw much more power than a 9600x anyways.  Just something to keep in mind.

But this is a nitpick on my side.

Overall, lovely build that will play games really well at 1440p resolution.

well the ram height is 44mm, the coolers ram clearance is 45mm, so it will fit, but be close. You may have to raise the front fan a little.

Thank you for your answer. yes, my question is more about the gpu, it is 140mm and i dont know if the 20mm left is enought to bend the cable

What other mother board do you recommend me not so far from that one in price? i have no clue of what VRM is or what mother boards offer, i wanted to go with a simple one (worth 140 usd here) and everyone told me to get the msi pro b850s (worth 220 usd here)

Hello there! thanks for replying! is that something easy to do? also is there a way to see if the cooler will be directly above the ram?

if your worried about the cable get an 8pin or 2 8pin gpu not a 12pin...

wow i tried to read it and my head exploded, ill continue reading it tomorrow, thank you very much. i hope i can find my answer to the bend

well its complicated. the 12 pin need space behind the connector before bending and if it comes out like 1mm it can melt.

well the 8pin/6pin you can bend it all day long probably even use 90 on it  all day long.

well the wires on the 12/16pin can be bent its just a stupid connector...

I don't see why you would scare people and tell them to get a 2x8pin GPU instead of a 12pin.
It really depends on if its a 5070 or RTX 5090... RTX 5090 owners should keep it in mind but not be overly concerned, a 5070 owner shouldn't be concerned at all.

Also, getting a GPU with 8pin basically excludes Nvidia GPU's.

OP has absolutely nothing to worry about with an RTX 5070.

I gotcha 🙂 .  I see that you are very new to computer hardware and a lot of the technical 'mumbojumbo' is hard to understand.

Lets keep it simple. VRM stands for Voltage Regulator Module, they deal with power and voltage to the graphics card and processor.

A higher powered/wattage CPU will require better VRM's and VRM cooling at heavy loads.

Again, to keep it simple. The MSI PRO B850-S WIFI6E will easily handle a Ryzen 9600x and you have nothing to worry about, it will also handle a 9800X3D if you want to upgrade the CPU later.  It was more of a nitpick from my side, the MSI PRO B850-S WIFI6E is fine 🙂
