which r9 280x

i decided to go get a r9 280x gpu.. i want to buy sapphire r9 280x toxic or msi r9 280x.. which one should i get?

Depends on what you want. The MSI is a bit quieter, but they should both do about the same performance.

Get the one that looks better to you. The sapphire will supposedly yield better overclocks because of the massive cooler. So idk. toss a coin.,

Well if what O15 is right and the msi is quieter I would definatly go for that one. Plus the sapphire looks abit tacky to me

you can pretty much choose either, maybe the toxic card if your build is black/yellow.

they are both solid choices, as more me I think toxic would be better.

You might want to read through this thread. It contains information about which AMD cards are voltage locked and which aren't. The unlocked ones will obviously be a charm to overclock.

i dont know much about overclocking and voltage stuffs ..but from the looks of it the toxic is locked so does that mean msi is better for overclocking?

The Toxic-x is the best of the 280x cards. If the pricing is competitive get it.
