Hey thinkpadheads,

I recently got a deal on a t14s gen 1 (ryzen 7 pro 4750u + 32gb ram), but it came with some issues - The touchpad (incuding buttons) and track point are not working. Everything else is working without issues. I wanted to fix the touchpad at least, i’m not that bothered about the track point.

My expertise goes as far as opening up the laptop and resitting the flex connector to the touchpad. However, this didn’t seem to fix it, and it didn’t make it any more clear to me if the issue is with the touchpad itself, or the connector.

I bought the laptop being ready to spend some more on replacement parts, but I was wondering if there is anything else I should check beforehand. I’m also unsure if I have to just buy a replacement connector, or if i have to look for another touchpad (or keyboard, as the touchpad buttons are attached to the keyboard itself on this model). I'll attach some images, in case that’s any help.

Thanks for the help in advance,
Headreceiever3200
