So, I am having a set of boot issues on my msi b850m gaming plus. Red and yellow debug lights which typically point to ram, it is classes as compatible I think (crucial CP2K16G60C36U5B) and 9600x. Initially I thought ram training but many hours have passed and no new news. Ram is in 2 and 4 as it should be and reseated everything. Bios has been flashed to its newest version and cmos has been reset, I am so lost and frustrated. Will take even the most basic questions to idiot proof before I rma everything.

Might just be the angle of the pic is deceiving, but slot 2 doesn't look like the RAM is fully seated at the top.

Got the CPU 12v connector plugged in, in the top left of the board?

2* 8 pin cpu plugged in, tried with each individually and both together, and ram deep seated. If I push harder it bends the board. Both clicks on both sticks 🙂 thanks for the q

Ahh, alright.

Another possible source of boot issues with AM5 is if the cooler is too tight/too loose.

Put it to both it's tightest and rather loose. No difference. Attempting to flashback and it's refusing that too. May have lost the silicon lottery
