Overclocking a FX-4300

I am getting ready to overclock an AMD FX-4300 for someone else on a 970 motherboard. My question is, what would be a reasonable overclock for one of these chips? I don't want the absolute best overclock for the best chip, but what speed could an average chip reach reasonably?

4.2GHz should be reasonable. I wouldn't push it too hard on a 970 mobo.
