Did I get scammed? Should I return it? The card’s code name is SDC10G2, and from what Google tells me, it’s the first batch of these cards that later got replaced by a newer design.

Honestly, I’m not 100% sure about it, that’s why I didn’t even open it yet. Can you guys give me a hand?

Thanks!!

you answered your own question right there, an updated model.

Is so unreasonable that they slightly changed the graphic on the chip?

The printing looks pretty standard for the stamp method they used.

and WOW! imagine an Android logo being on a package with a picture of a cell phone for a device intended to be used with phones and tablets as well as cameras.

You didn't get scammed, you just got older stock.

Hey everyone!

Not long ago I was gifted an R36S, and while looking into how to update it, I saw that on the official wiki guides that they usually recommend swapping the MicroSD because the ones that come with it are really poor quality. Among the recommended cards was the Kingston Canvas Select Plus, so I went with that one since it was at a good price.

The card I received is the one you can see in the first 2 images (The ones with numbers as their title). The thing is, it looks very different from what I’ve seen in pictures and videos online (you'll find some pictures attached of this aswell). Did I get scammed? Should I return it? The card’s code name is SDC10G2, and from what Google tells me, it’s the first batch of these cards that later got replaced by a newer design.

Is the place you bought it from a reputable place? There can be differences in image appearance over time if they update it.

If you decide to open it, test it with https://h2testw.org/ which will tell you the true capacity and the transfer rate. You can then compare those to what it should be. Beware transfer rate can be affected by how you connect it.
