Can't change Origin password

Origin is a POS. Woohoo, big surprise.

 

I'm trying to change my password. It requires a password between 8 and 16 characters and at least 1 uppercase, 1 lowercase and 1 number. Now I'm introducing a password that fulfills these requirements but dumbass Origin still says it doesn't. For some reason now it doesn't allow special characters like ! . - yet my old password which has special characters does work.
