Hey there dear community

I've been out of the loop for a while now.

My mental health was declining over the the course of the last 2 years.

At some point I stopped playing games all together, then needed some money so I sold off my 3090 and 2080s.

I still don't game, as I'm running my ancient 1060 atm, but I started modeling, 3d printing and painting again.

The construction/ modeling is a pain ITA at times, and gaming is not an option, as I still have my 4k Lg screen.

Now for my question:

What gpu would you recommend, used or new, for gaming at 4k60 and 3d modeling.

I'd like 16gb of vram, but I have no idea what cards have what software features like upscaling and alike anymore. Price wise 500-600 would be optimal.

I don't care about brand or manufacturer.

Rest of the specs:

5900x

32gb rm

1000w corsair psu

Looking forward to some suggestions

Best thing you could get is a rtx5070 12gig. Nvidia 16gb cards in your budget at the 60 series and those are very poor value. However they do have a place. Since it needs to game too at 4k yeahhhh thats a lot less..

What about a 4070ti? Those go for around 500€ where I live

Is there a huge difference in upscaling tech 40 compared to 50 series?

I also do 3D modeling and printing in addition to gaming. I also do photo editing and photogrammetry. I went with the RTX 5060 Ti 16gb because it's $420, about half the price of the 70 series 16gb cards.

I would avoid 12gb cards at this point. Even old games like Rust use more than 12gb now, I guess due to lack of optimization.

Its an option yes the tech is mostly identical. However the other poster makes a good point BUT if you simply dont have the gpu power to power 4k gaming there is no point to get a 5060
