Upgrade Path

I have a pc that I am looking to upgrade but not really sure if its worth upgrading. My current specs are below:

 

i5 12400F

Intel stock cooler

MSI b660 pro wifi

32gb corsair vengeance ddr4 3600

Gigabyte rx6600

Cooler Master 850 MWE Gold

 

Pc parts in my country are slightly overpriced. I can possibly get a deal for a 3080 founders edition for 255USD from a friend. There is also an intel I7 14700k for the same price of 255USD. 

Would these upgrades be worthwhile since there is no further upgrade path?

It'll be a huge upgrade, but if it's used a 14700K at $250 isn't a good deal, it's $300 new and used risk of having CPU degradation

Also you won't be able to OC a K skew on a B660 board

You want a locked cpu for that board if you decide to upgrade it.

 

Examples:

12700F

13700F

14700F

etc ...

Make sure its not used. 13th and 14th gen i7's and up experience cpu degradation and a lot of used ones are the unusable degraded ones these days.

 

Also of course youd need a better cooler.

 

The 3080 is a nice deal ans nice upgrade.
