Single GPU Passthrough Shutdown VM problem

In Ubuntu 25.10 Single GPU Passthrough works without problems with RTX 5070 Ti.

 

Problem is Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and Shutdown VM not working.

 

Better to use latest Ubuntu version then Linux Mint.

I'm dabbling in QEMU VM, installing some VMs to test distros and possibly trying to install GPU passthrough to game on them,  so was interested by this thread, does the issue still occurs with dGPU + iGPU, all AMD ?

No that’s a dual gpu passthru if you have igpu and a dgpu you don’t need to do sgp you can just do a traditional passthrough.

How to fix this in Ubuntu 25.10?

 

I installed Ubuntu 25.10 VM in Oracle VirtualBox in Windows 11 and i had the same problem in KVM (Unknown PCI Host Devices - Add Hardware) so it's not my Hardware but Ubuntu 25.10 problem.

 

lspci gives me correct PCI Devices so it's problem KVM in Ubuntu 25.10.

 

In Ubuntu 24.04 LTS worked fine.

 

I'm using latest KVM version.

I will wait for Linux Mint 23 (Ubuntu 26.04 LTS Based).
