I'm having an issue with random reboots, no BSOD, no error, just a reset. It usually happens while playing games, but I'm sure I recall it happening at least once while on the desktop.

Automatic restart has been disabled, still no messages.

Temps have been checked for both GPU and CPU, both normal.

PSU has been upgraded, no change.

Overnight memtest came back as normal.

Any ideas where to go next?

Check event viewer -> system. Filter for critical errors. Check the error code. If its error 41 (63) then its most likely related to ram instability. Is ram at auto settings? Did it work at some point? Check if ram sticks is in slot a2 and b2. Try at auto settings, first. If it still doesn't work, either swap the ram kit or tweak memory controller voltage (vccio and vccsa). If you get a new ram kit I can recommend getting a 2933 kit.

No critical errors other than the ones related to the unexpected shutdown.

This has only been happening for the past few months, maybe around the time I upgraded the GPU, but I can't be certain of that.

Exactly what error 41 is

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/3802067/kernel-power-event-id-41-task-category-(63)

Yes you could try setting ram to auto if you changed that from default. Or get another ram kit and test that. You already ruled out the other possibility, a faulty PSU.

I've changed RAM from AUTO to XMP1. We'll see what happens.

Event ID 41 is just Unexpected Shutdown. You get this from any crash, freeze, BSOD, power loss, holding the power button or pressing the reset button. It has no diagnostic value unless you didn't know it shut down unexpectedly. The Details tab has some useful information, but just the event ID has nothing.

@NeoDude Screenshot the Details tab of the a few of the Kernel-Power events.

Yes it doesn't say much, but since we have nothing else and have ruled out some stuff, we're on the right path. Usually kernel event 41 (63) is simply this:

How to Fix Kernel Power Error 41 in Windows 11/10?

The Details tab has the error data if there is any. If there isn't any, it's likely power related.

As stated, a computer that reboots with no BSOD is either overheating or there is an issue with the PSU.

Download HW Monitor and view the Temperatures, especially after a reboot. You can also view the voltages for any anomalies.

Please click the "Thumbs Up" on any volunteer's post to thank them if they helped .(lower left, just to the right of My Computer )

Or in some cases ram or memory controller related. Hwinfo64 is a much better program imo.

Yes but not PSU related, because it was changed.

@NeoDudeWill report back with the results
