There's three different builds which is it?

image.png.34caf41c50250a546222f8cccd2f6b8f.png

if you have an M.2 slot free https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/kbwmP6/msi-spatium-m480-pro-2-tb-m2-2280-pcie-40-x4-nvme-solid-state-drive-s78-440q600-p83 (I recommend putting this as your primary drive as it has a DRAM cache and faster read/write speeds which are both better compared to your current SSD regardless of which build it is

If you don't have an M.2 slot free https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/mCjNnQ/pny-cs900-2-tb-25-solid-state-drive-ssd7cs900-2tb-rb

Budget (including currency): about £160

Country: uk

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: just games like Minecraft dune awakening forefront

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I need a new 2 terabyte SSD as my current one is almost full if I can get more storage for about the same price that would be great but I was hoping for a good two terabyte SSD

this is my current PC metric_2332 - Saved Part Lists - PCPartPicker https://share.google/GzcHBeQuXLJw8Er9S

I do have an spare SSD slot so thank you so much

you mentioned setting this drive is the primary drive does that involve moving where my operating system is stored?

Yes if you don't want to do that (which is a bit of a hassle so I don't blame you) then you can just get a cheaper, slightly slower drive (but still gen 4 so difference shouldn't be too large, maybe like 0.5s when loading a game) and keep your current drive as primary as SN770 is quite a fast drive

you might have to get an aftermarket heatsink for this drive as some reviews said it ran quite hot. It's only £5 and if you're doing a lot of read/write stuff, it's a good investment https://www.amazon.co.uk/ARCTIC-ACOTH00001A-M2-Pro-Black/dp/B09VH29PR1/ref=sr_1_4?crid=2PKJP5JR9PXWD&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.wXsyVCdlPhsCRdhiH4TKkiLB1DZg6PxvAlT0PeM5dCR2Gucwsu-VILgoXUrd8t8jzQSs6gbz2JtebLi0mF7ztBImjhCrDzup9YmkbZaUeh0x8KrQ0cv0j1N5tAke24uKYw687PKPHaxeYF-AMqUYYx018lGEvYhI0-k6c0yOk88nPnAVrEfzm55n7PG-d3Yu5AJcknq4IZyH0CJTET1L47IH_Bd8tfI_Ew0XSdcouts.a6lswCHZmQ9cxZ-w78zqX-YL6QI2JuVEdCktXPCmwV4&dib_tag=se&keywords=m.2%2Bssd%2Bheatsink&qid=1762380655&refresh=1&sprefix=m.2%2Bssd%2Bhe%2Caps%2C109&sr=8-4&th=1

How would I switch when my operating system is located? Like do I have to factory reset my computer or can I just transfer the files?

It would have to be a factory reset so maybe don't if you don't want to go through that (I did have to do that once but thankfully it was when my PC was quite new so I only lost a few files, or just backed up my valuable files onto another drive, but still have to reinstall games and apps)
