So I want to build a gaming PC with a 780ti but have it in a case the size of a console/reciever so that it can fit in my home theater cabnit. Ive seen some Youtube videos of builds with the Silverstones Raven Z case (This case only supports SFX powersupplys) and in all the videos they have nivida 700 series GPUs in them. I believe linus even has a video of a build in this case and claims it could run a Titan off the Silverstone SFX 450W. The reason im posting here is because I dont understand how that possible. I dont want to buy all the parts put it togeather and then have my GPU fry because the powersupply isn't giving enough juice. If someone could drop some knowlage on me that would be greatly appricated. Heres a link to the parts I plan to buy: http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=19203134

Is it possible? yes

edit: I wouldn't try to overclock much though.

Your GPU won't get fried. Worst case probably is that it just would turn off. The ST45SF-G comes with over power/current protection.

If you don't feel comftorable with it, just wait a bit more and get the 600 Watt version (coming soon).

I believe you can run it, just not at 100%, and definitely no over clocking.

As @MrSuperb said, there's a 600w version coming. I'd just wait for that.

CPU has a TDP of 84W, GPU won't use any more than 300W. Considering all the other components as well, there's not very much headroom. Normally 450W for a 780Ti is not recommended. But it's possible. Overclocking this system is not recommended on a 450W.

Silverstone is taking their sweet ass time with that 600W SFX.

The 600 Watt unit has been 80Plus tested in may (http://www.plugloadsolutions.com/psu_reports/SILVERSTONE%20TECHNOLOGY_SST-SX600-G_600W_ECOS%203951_Report.pdf)

and the report has been released just yesterday, which basically means it could now come any day.

450w is completely fine, people have run R9 290's off them. Just don't overclock.
