Besides this, I plan to use this as a console too by plugging it into my tv which is a Samsung Q8F 55'
pc will be running Linux mint or steam os and not windows.

Is this a good Idea or shall I purchase a base mac mini m4 for INR49,000, attach a consistent 1tb ssd externally (already have an attatchment enclosure and connectors), buy that monitor and run games on say Geforce now or just play mac titles and wait for compatibilty to improve. I am upgrading from a dell laptop running a i3 1215u, 8gb 3200mhz cl11 samsung ram and 8gb 2666mhz cl21 Daichi ram, 512gb nvme samsung ssd, 240gb fox nextron sata ssd, a 120hz vrr 15.6inch display whose color accuracy is non existant, and a battery life of 12 minutes.

I wanna learn editing, design and play games but my current laptop becomes a bottleneck as soon as I try to start editing or play anything more than asphalt 8.

Thanks 🙂

How much budget is this using?

List is pretty alright, the only improvement might be spending more, all the parts look decent, and can't really do more if budget isn't high enough

going about INR1000  over budget. That you can say is equivalent to $10 USD over budget. but then the budget is tightly restricted to around $650.

You could save some $ by not buying monitor, but not sure how good it's for like regular PC stuff using TV or if you have space for this solution.

@OddOod@Millios any ideas guys? I've tried looking at alternative things, but the things are already cheap on big discount

Maybe downsizing the mobo?
That could either a) leave with cheaper options cause matx is cheaper usually or b) at least let us fit in a b450 or b550 which are at least better than a A520

True but my concern isn't with future upgrades as much as the VRM quality being *insert your own bad word*

That is the only "bad" idea in my eyes where I have to reeeeeeeeeally squint for it

Would cheaper mobo somehow make the Wifi/BT dongle less smooth? Though you'd have to have like many USB and storage devices for barebones chipset to even start to struggle I guess...

Maybe (?)

It is possible but also somewhat unlikely to happen.
