Removing onedrive

Go to solution Solved by x Princess Leliana x,

Managed to get it done. For others:

Download and log into one drive. Go into settings. Go to backup. Click manage backup, it will show which folders are backed up. If any of them are not highlighted, highlight then, then restart onedrive.

Go back into backups, and turn all off, youll know you did it right as itll have a "you wont be backing up, choose where to put your folders", hit "ONLY ON MY PC".

Once youve done that for all, verify that its not in there by going into the folder and seeing if it says c:users:name:ONEDRIVE:documents. If it doesnt say onedrive, youre good. Go to settings, account, unlink. Then uninstall.

At my witts end. Google is not helping.

I've uninstalled the entire program. I selected NO to onedrive when installing windows. And still. All my stuff. Is in c/users/name/ONEDRIVE/etc

I dont WANT anything in these god awful one drive folders. I just want it to be c/users/name/documents. How do I do this, I cant move the folder out, I cant do anything, do I have to reinstall windows entirely? Its not like this on my old pc. My files are my files. No onedrive.

It's great you found a solution but I wonder how this happens, just don't make a ms account, no ms account, no problems!

A little visual tutorial

Should be same on windows 11 (but 10 is better anyway!) 👍
